Here is the chance to pack a change of clothes and a sleeping-bag and head off for up to a month of cycling through over 600 kms of Australia’s gold rush history.
The Golden Trail follows the route taken by the Chinese miners who walked over 600 kms from Robe in South Australia to the Bendigo goldfields some 150 years ago.
Those who email us with their story and photos of their journey along The Golden Trail comment on the beauty of the diverse and wondrous landscape and the wonderful country hospitality. Many also comment on this vital part of our history that they knew nothing about and of the hardships the Chinese must have encountered on their journey.
The aim is to make it as accessible as possible and have you exploring towns and countryside you might not otherwise have thought of visiting.
Immerse yourself in the history of Australia’s gold rush and create your own life-changing journey.
Immerse yourself in the historical makings of our nation and create for yourself a life-changing journey
